Gladys' three grand daughters, Monica, Courtney, and Carolyn, along with the ladies from Manor Baptist Church, planned the festivities. The ladies did a neat roast of Gladys. Below are some pictures taken at her party.
Gladys and her husband, Claude, had three children, Thomas Wayne, Ronnie, and Angela. Wayne was killed by car at 21 months of age in March 1949. Angela was killed July 1980 at age 19, and was buried on July 15th, her 3rd wedding anniversary. Claude died December 2000. While getting ready to attend visitation time Gladys had a massive heart attack. Thanks to our nephew and his wife, who went by the house before visitation, got her to the Dr. and hospital. She had surgery that afternoon, thereby, missing the visitation and the funeral the next day.
